Vintage hand-carved coal sculpture of a coal miner done by J.G. Kourey of Masscott, West Virginia. The carved scene depicts a coal miner trying to push a cart full of coal while a donkey is laying on the tracks blocking the path. Great comical coal mining scene. Figure has no damage and is in excellent condition with no signs of wear. The underside of the base has a numbered token. Figure measures about 9 1/2 inches long.
