Antique Jacobus Stainer Copy 4/4 Violin With Nice Tiger Grain:

This is an old copy of a Jacobus Stainer violin that has a very nice tiger grain to the body. Stamped Stainer on back on body near neck - also has paper label inside that reads "Jacobus Stainer in Aolam Prope Oenipontum 1733." Maker and exact age unknown, looks to date to late 19th or early 20th century.

Violin is in nice condition with some wear to the finish as pictured, but no cracks or breaks. 4/4 size. There is another smaller paper label inside that states that it was repaired in the 1970's, no details were given on the repair. It has an Aubert bridge that looks to have some age, but is not original. One string is broken and was taped together for the photos.

Violin seems to produce a nice large sound, but the nicest part of this violin is definitely the grain of the wood. Violin will be shipped inside a vintage hard-shell Lifton violin case (not pictured). The case is in good or better condition with some minor wear to the canvas and some tarnish to the closures. *Make an offer
