Antique Pair Painted Pewter Victorian Street Light Type Table Lamps circa 1900:

This is a very neat pair of table lamps that resemble Victorian period street lamps. They are electric lamps circa 1900. They appear to be made of pewter (or similar soft metal) and then painted. They formerly had reverse painted ribbed glass panels. There are currently only 6 panels included with the lights, some of them show some chipping and the reverse painting is almost entirely gone - but they would make good templates for having new glass cut. ...or you could simply use a period figural flame shaped bulb for a great open shade effect. Lamps are unsigned, maker unknown.

The lamps each measure 16 inches tall. They need to be rewired, or at least have a new cord added, which could be simply connected via wire nuts to the exposed switch and socket wires underneath. The original paint is in very good condition, but does show some wear in spots. There is no major damage, cracks or breaks to the lamps. The one lamp however, has very thin metal on the lid that has some gaps at the base of the finial. Hinges look to have been re-soldered some time ago.
