Antique Victorian Papier Mache' Sewing Box w/ Angels & Demons:

This Victorian sewing box has a wood frame with paper mache covering and cloth interiors. It's in a bit of a state with moderate to heavy surface wear, but the surface design redeems it a bit - it's covered with a pattern of angels or cherubs and demons or fallen angels.

As you can see by the photos, there is some surface wear to this box, especially to the edges. The button part of the latch is missing and a strip of the top layer of papier mache is missing on the back of the lid. The lid and hinge are sturdy and work fine. Despite the surface wear, the box is solid.
