This antique 1800's Victorian era wooden toy is very early ancestor of the Bongo Board toys from the mid-1900's. Unsigned, maker unknown. The board, which has some wear as pictured, still retains much of the original red paint as well as the yellow/gold colored pin striping. Board is in fine working condition and wood roller turns freely. This is a hefty toy that will hold an adult's weight.
Board measures about 26 inches long. There is some old writing in a small area of the underside in pencil that is illegible. Board is sturdy, intact and usable. Refer to photos for a better idea of the condition of the original paint and the wood.
