| Pair of beautiful pair of signed 14 1/2 inch Moser cased and cut white to cranberry glass mantle lusters with detailed hand-painted flowers and gilding. Dates to circa 1920.
Excellent condition. No chips. No cracks. Hand-painted flowers and gilt decorations show virtually no wear whatsoever, and none that can be noticed from more than a foot or so away. The three-piece crystals are in excellent condition as well - some have what amount to fleabites to the tips (which is not uncommon). Most of ends with the slight damage are still so near perfect that they must be examined by touch to feel the roughness. One crystal has a slight chip as pictured, damage on any others are limited to the very tip.
There is also a very tiny shallow impression in the glass on the pedestal that looks to have occurred during manufacture. It is only several millimeters long, and virtually unnoticeable, but it is there. (It appears in the very center of the photo of the closeup of the base).
This pair of Moser glass overlay lustres are both signed with the Moser mark on the outside at the base of the pedestals. *Make an offer |
