Great set of carved onyx bookends that depict a Mexican man and woman taking a siesta while wearing big sombreros under a tall cactus. Circa 1940's. Unsigned, maker unknown. Excellent condition with no chips or cracks. These are quite a large example of these type of bookends that measure 7 inches tall and each has a three piece design, attached to base with screws.
