Antique Art Nouveau Sterling Silver Overlay Ruby Red Glass Perfume Scent Bottle

This is an original antique Art Nouveau sterling silver overlay ruby red glass miniature perfume bottle / scent flacon (c. 1900–1920s). It is unsigned; the glassmaker and silversmith are unknown. The silver is marked sterling, but there are no signatures or maker marks.

Standing just under 4 inches tall with the matching stopper inserted, this miniature vanity bottle features deep, vibrant ruby red glass in a globular bulbous form. It is wrapped in flowing, hand-engraved sterling silver overlay featuring sinuous Art Nouveau floral scrolls, an engraved front oval monogram cartouche, a wrapped silver lip rim, and matching silver overlay encircling the original ground ball stopper.

Condition is excellent antique with intact silver overlay free of peeling or lifting, brilliant ruby glass clarity with no chips, cracks, or fleabites, and a clean matching ground-glass stopper that seats snugly. There is a small thin ding to the silver around the bottle's rim as pictured.
