Antique French Cut Steel Micro Beaded Purse Art Deco Flapper Evening Bag Fringe

An exquisite antique Edwardian to 1920s Art Deco French cut-steel micro-beaded evening purse, retaining its original woven cloth label marked "Import French Steel". Meticulously loomed with thousands of faceted gold, bronze, and silver metallic micro-beads arranged in an intricate geometric medallion and scrolling foliage tapestry motif, finished along the bottom with multi-tiered chevron loop-and-strand fringe. Features an ornate relief-stamped silvertone filigree frame with an acanthus leaf border, decorative front horseshoe ring accent, push-button top clasp, and linked chain carry handle. The interior is lined in champagne moiré satin bordered in golden twisted cord trim. In very good antique condition, with intact beadwork, strong frame action, clean interior fabric, and honest, minor verdigris/tarnish along scattered beads and fringe ends. The chain handle has lost much of its plating and is tarnished, but would be easily replaced.
