Rare Antique Cigar Cutter Gumpert Bros Makers Philadelphia Full Weight Cigars

This is a unique vintage novelty cigar holder and ashtray designed to look like a de-milled WWI-era artillery projectile.

You insert cigar into the hole in the side and push the plunger down to cut off the tip. Made of metal with a copper-tone driving band, the tip of the projectile screws off to reveal a hollow compartment for collecting the cigar tips and allowing you to empty them. The engraved band on the projectile reads: "GUMPERT BROS. MAKERS • PHILA. • FULL WEIGHT • 5¢ CIGAR".

Measures approximately 4 inches tall. Shows some age, tarnish, and pitting as pictured, but the plunger works fine and the blade is nice and sharp. This is a complete and desirable piece of tobacciana.
