Vintage 1960 Hand Carved Wood Wall Crucifix MCM Brutalist Folk Art Signed IHS

This hand-carved solid oak wall crucifix showcases striking modernist and brutalist folk art styling. Carved from a single piece of hardwood with prominent ray fleck grain, it features an expressive Corpus Christi in high relief with faceted, elongated features, an upturned head with a radiating halo, and a carved INRI plaque at the top. The reverse is hand-inscribed with the traditional sacred "IHS" monogram, dated "1960," and signed with the artist's initials near the base. Fitted with an integrated top hanging ring, it is in excellent vintage condition with a warm honey patina, sharp chisel marks, and no splits or repairs.

Measures about 7 1/2 inches tall.
