Vintage Planters Peanuts Figural Shell Cigarette Lighter Original Mr Peanut Box

This is an exceptionally rare, original antique unfired Planters Peanuts figural peanut pocket lighter (c. 1930s–1940s), complete with its historically significant original mail-order shipping box. The lighter is masterfully molded from hard composition material to replicate a natural peanut shell, finished in realistic yellow-tan textured detailing and embossed with the classic script "Planters" brand name on the side.

The two-piece novelty lighter pulls apart to reveal a traditional internal metal capsule structure housing a fluid wick and flint wheel ignition system, designed with a small alignment pin to secure the cap line. The small two-piece cardboard mailing box features its original pre-printed shipping label from "Planters Nut & Chocolate Co., Wilkes-Barre, Pa." showing a 1 1/2¢ paid postal permit stamp and the iconic Mr. Peanut graphic character, addressed to a recipient in Seven Valleys, Pennsylvania. Based on the scale measurement provided, the lighter measures approximately 2 1/2 inches long Condition is very good, unused, showing some minimal storage wear to the composition as pictured, and a highly crisp advertising box.
