Antique 1890s Royal Bicycle Head Badge Marshall MI Panther Headbadge Bike Emblem

An authentic antique late Victorian circa 1890 safety bicycle head badge for "Royal," manufactured in Marshall, Michigan. Stamped in curved nickel-plated brass engineered to fit the head tube of a bicycle frame, featuring open cutouts and side rivet mounting holes. The outer pierced frame is embossed with serif lettering reading "ROYAL" at top and "MARSHALL, MICH." along the lower base against a stippled foliate background. The central raised oval medallion showcases elaborate iconography including script "Royal" lettering, radiating sunburst rays behind a finely detailed spoked bicycle wheel, and a snarling cougar or panther posed across the foreground. Displays excellent antique character with sharp repoussé detail, honest edge wear, and untouched metal patina with minor nickel plating loss and oxidation on the reverse.
