Antique EA Bliss Mesh Dance Purse Gold Filled Cobalt Cabochon Snap Flapper Bag

This antique gold-filled ring-mesh dance purse was manufactured by the E. A. Bliss Co., which later became Napier (marked with their classic "EABC" bee hallmark) and retailed out of Indianapolis, Indiana. Inner rim of frame is engraved "Eleanor M. Evans, Indianapolis, Ind." and stamped with bliss signature and hallmark. The delicate, tightly woven soldered mesh body flares elegantly into a classic flapper silhouette, suspended from a stylized arched frame with an ornate floral-engraved border and a faux sapphire cabochon kiss-clasp. It features its original heavy, braided wristlet chain with an adjustable slider buckle, all presenting in pristine structural condition with no dropped or broken links.
