Antique EAPG White Milk Glass Butterfly Toothpick Holder Match Stand Fan Vase

This is an original antique Victorian/EAPG white milk glass butterfly / moth toothpick holder / match striker (c. late 1880s–1900s), originally produced by Challinor, Taylor & Co. (and later reproduced by companies such as Westmoreland and Summit Art Glass). It is unmarked on the smooth, recessed rectangular base.

Pressed in semi-translucent, fiery opalescent white milk glass, this novelty whimsical vessel depicts a three-dimensional caterpillar/butterfly body perched atop a beaded rectangular base, with its upright wings forming the fan-shaped toothpick well. The outer wing panels are molded in high relief with beaded teardrop/peacock feather medallions and a scalloped crest rim.

Condition is excellent vintage/antique with no chips, cracks, or fleabites, smooth rim scallops, and a clean, glossy milk glass surface showing nice translucency along the thinned top edges.
