Antique Handmade Burmese Lacquer Betel Box Kun-it Three Piece Lacquerware Box

Neat old handmade Burmese kun-it with hand-painted decorations that include a woman on the lid carrying a banner with flower accents. Three piece lacquer over bamboo box. Unsigned, maker unknown. This betel box measures about 8 1/4 inches wide.

Very good condition with no major damage. The box is not without wear, as can be seen in the photos. There are some spots of loss, mostly to the edges of the lacquer, but box is sturdy and intact and the wear from use only adds to the aesthetics of this old piece.
