I found this music box in an estate and it seems to be in nice working order. I'm knowledgeable enough about music boxes to know to purchase them when I find them at a price that seems like I can make a profit....so I tried to provide enough photos and a video to show the box in more detail than I can describe.

Swiss made wood cased crank wind music box by Mermod Freres. Model unknown. The serial number is 54243. The wood case has a painted grain and a marquetry inlaid wood top with instruments in the center. Plays 8 tunes. Cylinder is 9 inches long and has 62 notes. Seems to work fine. Has tune list on lid, refer to it for the list of tunes.

The box is pretty nice with no major damage. There is one tooth missing on the comb, as pictured in the close-up. Seems to play fine, nice and loud, though the governor seems to be a bit loud. The fabric handle for opening the glass is old and worn and probably shorter than it should be. The case lid is warped a bit as pictured and is missing one short piece of the inlay (see close-up) and there is some light surface wear to the finish in spots. 

The entire case measures about 21 3/4 inches long. The box has a Jacot's Safety Check. Refer to the photos and video for a better idea of the style, condition, sound, tune list, etc., you will receive the exact music box that is pictured.
