An authentic antique early American brass and cloisonné enamel radiator emblem badge for the Maxwell "Special" automobile, dating circa 1911–1914. Die-struck in heavy shield form with a chased border, featuring royal blue enameled lettering over a cream-white porcelain field and vertical pinstripe accents, anchored by a deep red enamel lower border. Displays genuine barn-find, unrestored character with authentic patina, surface crazing/spiderwebbing to the vitreous enamel, chipped losses along the outer perimeter, and an oxidized, unpolished back. A scarce surviving piece of early brass era American automotive history from the forerunner marque to Chrysler Corporation.
