Antique unsigned wooden Cheiroscope medical device that an eye doctor would have used to help treat a patient with a lazy eye. Maker unknown. Originally there would have been a mirror or reflective surface on the wooden platform hanging angled under the eyepieces. The device allowed one eye to focus on something while the patient used the other eye to draw what the other eye was seeing....at least, that is, according to Google.
The base measures about 10 inches long. Looks to be in pretty nice condition. In addition to the missing mirror, there's a couple of small pieces of the veneer missing from the very top as pictured. The glass eye lenses are intact.
Refer to the photos for a better idea of the style and condition, you will receive the exact Cheiroscope that is pictured.
