This vintage bandura was found in the estate of a Ukrainian immigrant in New York state. It has an unknown maker's label that can be seen inside the instrument as pictured. 11 stings. Admittedly we know very little about these instruments. Refer to the photos for a better idea of the style and condition, maker's mark and artist's signature.
This bandura has inlaid parquetry around the edge as well as around the sound hole. The top of the instrument has a pretty hand-painted floral design with several types and colors of flowers with what is likely the artist's signature near the bridge. The bandura comes with the tuning wrench that was found with it.
Appears to be in very good condition. No major damage. Shows some light surface wear to the lacquer in spots and there is some very slight separation in the edge as shown in the closeup photo. Measures about 14 1/2 inches long.
Refer to the photos for a better idea of the style and condition, you will receive the exact bandura that is pictured.
